“Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death.” ~Author Unknown In about 10 1/2 days we’ll be at the hospital ready to anxiously meet our third little one. Yes, just over 10 days! The anticipation and nervousness has certainly set in this past week. The week has been a pretty busy one filled […]

Hi Amanda,
I am not sure that you will remember me, but you photographed our family two and a half years ago (6 kids, 6 week old baby boy with hair that stood straight up on end, we took a family picture on our king size bed).
I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you and the precious little baby that you are carrying. I know that your due date is very close. Congratulations!!!
Blessings,
Melissa Lehman
Awe…thanks Melissa. Of course I remember you guys! It’s tough to forget any of the families I’ve photographed. Hope your family is doing well!
“Do, or do not. There is no try.” ~ Yoda, Star Wars Today marks 35 weeks into this pregnancy, and in just under 3 weeks we’ll finally get to meet our little one. Just this past weekend Hope proclaimed to us how many days we have left (yes, she knows exactly how many days we […]

I’m breaking into the room, I don’t care,….:)
ahahaha…I adore you Paris. Yes, I don’t know if they realize that I’ll be armed with the paparazzi at the hospital on the 22nd.
“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” ~ Albert Einstein Now that I’m just one day shy of being 31 weeks pregnant I imagine you all should be expecting, and perhaps anticipating more updates as the time draws closer to the baby being born. I’m excited to finally announce the baby’s tentative […]

That is awesome! Keep us updated (please)!
Your kids are gorgeous, and I am looking forward to meeting the newest Kern. As a 7/11/77 baby, I agree that 2/22/11 is a very cool day to be born. I can’t believe you have only gained 2 lbs. This baby must be a busy little bee, burning lots of calories. I imagine the stress plays into it too, but be healthy and be happy and be ready for a beautiful baby….boy or girl.
“Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.” ~Garth Brooks I can’t believe my baby girl turned nine yesterday. Yes, nine. As she reminded me this past week — she’s just one year shy of being in “double digits”. We went out yesterday on her birthday and took some photos…here’s my birthday girl. Looking back […]

Know that many people are praying for you and your family right now. I know the decision is tough, but you will know what the right choice is for you and your family in the end. Hang in there.
I love You!
Amanda, I’ve been reading your blog recently and offering many prayers for you and your beautiful family! I don’t know how you find the energy to do all that you do, but know that you are an inspiration on so many levels. (And I still credit all my web design skills to you!) May God give you continued strength and blessings.
*hugs from NYC*
I saw you on the Baby Center site. This is a horrible choice you have to make, and I’m sending you and yours thoughts and prayers. I don’t know if you’ve looked at http://www.spinabifidaconnection.com this site is not just for parents but for adults who are living with spina bifida as well. I found it very helpful to try to see the future.
You will make the right choice for you and your family. Please feel free to contact me or look at my blog if you have any questions or anything I can help you with.
My twin boys have myelomeningocele. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me. Hang in there!
