Yesterday Hope finished her Zoo clay class at Crealde. I’ve always enjoyed promoting Hope’s creative side and she’s equally enjoyed taking classes at Crealde the last 1 1/2 years. This is the first class she’s taken in the eight year old and up group and she definitely had fun in her sixth art class she’s taken at Crealde School of Art.
Of course we were both excited that her buddy Miscia returned to classes with her this fall. Here they were on the first day of class:
In their first week the kids made their own super cool rhino.
In their second week the kids made their own cool panda. Hope named hers “Miley” and made sure she had her own purse!
In their third week they made a pretty sweet little giraffe cup.
And their fourth week the kids made their own fun ant eater cup.
The course is six weeks, so the fifth week they painted and glazed their clay projects. The last week they made another clay project similar to one they had made in the first four weeks which will someday be auctioned off at Crealde as a part of a fundraiser. The next few weeks we’ll get a little bit of a break from art classes, but starting October 31st Hope and Miscia will return to take a Storytelling through Cartooning class that they’re both excited about. They’ll get to learn about creating their own characters for cartoons and comics!
